The Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment (CAWT), Fleming College

The Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment (CAWT) is a research facility within Fleming College, Canada. The CAWT focuses on constructed wetland research whereby wetlands are evaluated for their effectiveness in treating municipal wastewater. Our ColiPlate™ water testing system has been used on a routine basis by the CAWT for over 5 years to test wastewater pre and post wetland treatment.

University of Guelph

The departments of Engineering and Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph have used our ColiPlate™ water testing system in numerous graduate level research projects.  These projects have included research on bacterial transport in hydrologic systems, projects evaluating the impact of septic systems on ground and surface water, evaluations of Agricultural Management Strategies to decrease bacteria transport to water systems and various analyses of surface water quality in lake environments.

McMaster, Department of Civil Engineering

McMaster’s Department of Civil Engineering is conducting a large scale research project on drinking water quality in Kenya, Africa.  ColiPlates are used to test the bacteriological quality and safety of the drinking water samples.

Ohio State University, College of Public Health

Ohio State University, College of Public Health has used our ColiPlate™ water testing system for a number of research projects.  Most recently researchers have used ColiPlate™ to test the safety of drinking water in remote regions of Thailand.
